How to Host a Stress-Free Holiday Party!

Its finally that time of year where we come together with our friends and family and celebrate the wonderful Holidays. Out of all of the different things you can do during the Holidays my favorite is hosting parties. Growing up with a huge family who celebrates every single Holiday, Birthday, Day of year even... Parties are HUGE! However along with parties comes stress... lots and lots of stress. Having the house cleaned, decorated, invitations, games, and most importantly FOOD. Between all of these things its so easy to become stressed and not enjoy the fun of the party itself. One trick my mom taught me was to simplify but make it look like you didn't...

My go to for the perfect dish for any occasion is Stella Blue Cheese. Stella Cheese's are the perfect topping for any treat, loaded potatoes, salads, pastas, etc. One of my friends favorites that I bring to parties is the Stella Blue Cheese appetizer. I love using their blue cheese as a topping on so many different appetizers, and their super easy and quick to make.

Make it cute by adding some adorable decorations to the dish to fit the Holiday theme and you're done! A super quick, easy and stress free dish is ready for the party, which gives you time to get ready too!

Don't forget, Stella Cheese makes for a cute host gift, so swing by a store near you and pick one up for you and a friend! Also don't forget to go HERE to enter for a chance to win a trip to Napa Valley with Stella Cheese! What an awesome way to start off the Holidays!

Dorot Has Our Backs!

Hey y'all I can't wait to share with you all about this amazing new product I've tried! Okay so y'all know I'm in college, so all that talk you hear about how we don't eat good and survive off only junk food is soo true! haha Well the reason is because its so easy to eat the junk food instead of all the hassle of cooking.... BUT wait!! Dorot has changed that for me! Dorot makes cooking so much easier and quicker too. Which to a college student that means a lot. This amazing product does not only apply for those in college but for anyone anytime.

Dorot can be found at your local whole foods market for such a great deal.  They're easy to find in the frozen section, and theres so many different options to choose from! Its almost impossible to make a choice.

My absolute favorite part about Dorot is that each herb is already chopped, measured, and ready to go for you.  Have you ever had to pull off the leaves then chop them while dodging your fingers with the knife, then try to pack it all in a tiny tsp? Its not fun! 1 cube = 1tsp. It makes cooking so nice because your not having to worry about all of the prep! You just pop the frozen cube in and stir till its mixed in well and you have a delicious meal! These Dorot cubes are great for anyone trying to prepare a good and healthy meal. A quick little video guide is below:

So cut out the hassle of cooking and go to your local whole foods market and try this amazing Dorot product. Trust me its just what your recipe needs.

Have a Wondorot Day!

Keeping Her Healthy!

Gerber Lil' Beanies.

Hey guys I'm so excited to share something exciting with you all today. So today I'm not just talking to the mothers out there but to the aunts, the grandmas, and really just anyone who loves children. I am a proud aunt who goes by (Macmac) to four soon to be five precious nieces and nephews. My nieces and nephews (aka my children) mean the world to me. I think of them all as though they were my own. One thing I've learned over the past four years is how special children really are, and how much they truly depend on you an adult to help them grow. From the very second they're born they are watching, listening, and doing, what they see and hear. It's so important for babies to develop well over the first few years of life because of their brain growth, their motor skills, etc... But they can't do this alone.

Gerber is a company that has been around for years, and who's main goal is the healthy development of our children. Gerber has provided us with numerous products but my favorite and my niece's, whom ill be talking about today, favorite is Gerber Lil Beanies. My niece is absolutely obsessed with these things, she would eat the entire can if I let her! Her favorite two flavors are both the "Original" and the "White Cheddar & Broccoli". This is such a nutritious snack for your little one to keep them fully satisfied on the go. Having 2 grams of protein and 1 gram of fiber it makes this snack the perfect treat for any part of their day.

Gerber Lil' Beanies can be found in any Publix near you! Along with Publix's great deals Gerber Lil' Beanies are such a great investment for your little one. My niece is just learning to walk and doing an excellent job at it too, with her growing so fast, and us hardly being able to keep up, we want to be providing her with a healthy nutritious snack. Of course if she keeps growing we won't be able to catch her...

So go get some Gerber Lil' Beanies, I highly recommend it. Keep your little nugget happy, because a happy baby is a happy mommy, aunt, grand mommy, ____ fill in the blank, and their happiness is truly all that matters. Help them grow, help them start out healthy in life, help them learn, and let Gerber help you!

Have a Great Day!

Growing Up!

Oh goodness, life is starting to hit me.
Over the summer I moved home to work as a nanny to save up some money because I am moving into a new apartment for college in the fall.
Heading back to my beautiful town of Auburn, I have a lot of responsibilities that I'm not used to having. First off, I got me a big girl job, I'm so excited to start working at the Loft. I'm bringing my precious baby girl (@Maggietheshihtzu) back to college with me after not having her for two years. I got accepted into my major so Ill be back in my studios working till sun up on projects. And trying to balance life.
A lot of change between a new place, job, classes, etc... But Im super excited about it and can't wait.

Seeing Things Through Clear Eyes!

I think its safe to say that people are blind, we can be blind in so many ways. Today it is almost like people prefer to be blind than to see things as they truly are. Our blindness is used in almost every aspect of our lives, its in our work, marriages, relationships, family, school, religion, economy, and world.  The reason we prefer to be blind is because it seems life would be much easier if we ignore all of the problems happening right in front of us. I know I am like this but lately my eyes have been open to things I never thought I'd see.

I think its important for everyone to start seeing the truth, if we do this we really can grow in our relationships, work, etc... It may not be fun or easy, but its worth the work if at the end of the day we are seeing things truly as they are.

Being blind can not only hurt you but hurt others as well. So put on those glasses or pop in those contacts and start seeing things through clear eyes!

DIY Smoothie?

So I was nannying over the summer for two boys... I know bless my heart. Anyways we often got bored and tried to think about fun things to do. One day the youngest of the two asked if we could make smoothies. I had never made one before and neither had he. So we went into the kitchen to see what we could use to make one... going by no recipe heres how it went.

We used pineapples, strawberries, milk, lemon juice, honey, milk, and yogurt.

We blended it all together with ice.

And it was shockingly good!

Day at the Pool

Im dreading the fact that summer is coming to an end, yet excited to be back in my beautiful Auburn. One thing ill miss most are days like these, my cousin invited me to go with her to a pool downtown at a hotel. The pool is on the roof of the  hotel so you get to enjoy the beautiful view surrounding you.  We had so much fun giggling like little children, its days like this I won't forget.

Being Accepted

So at Auburn University for the major Interior Design your freshman year you take two studio classes then apply for the major after your freshman year. Its extremely competitive and hard to get accepted.... Not knowing this I started my first two years at a small community college then transferred, thinking that I would be ahead I find out that I am technically a freshman still and have four more years WHOO....(sarcasm) However I have swallowed this harsh reality and finished my first year at Auburn. I had to make a portfolio of all of my work and turn it in to the board. After a month of panicking and not knowing what to do if I didn't get accepted I got the email...

Good News!

Ladies Day Out

Every now and then my grandmother, mother, and I like to go out for a day and just have fun. I love these days because I get to spend time with two of my favorite ladies. We always go eat at fabulous restaurants and then go to our favorite stores. These are two ladies I want to be when I grow up. Loving , faithful, patient, encouraging, inspiring, funny, sassy, and always full of fun. What else is there to strive for in life?
